Reflecting on the course I feel that this course had a nice pace. It didn't move too fast or too slow. the course material wasn't overly easy nor overly hard like other classes.
I learned a lot from this class. I have also become more adept with the use of the computer and internet for academic purposes too.
The incorporation of Vista in the class made me at least give it a chance. Vista is a great idea. Centralizing a class and all its work for the semester on an easy to access and navigate web page is a remarkable idea. vista does however seem to contain some bugs which made class difficult when it was down.

Arguement Reflection
Reflecting on the argument web project I feel that It was a lot like the mulitmodal report project. The main difference was it required more research and writing. Despite it requiring more work it seemed easier than the multimodal report. Maybe that is due ot being more proficient with dreamweaver or that the topic for he argument was near exactly the same as the multimodal aside from the change of going from an informative project to a persuasive project.
I had no problems with dreamweaver this time around and found the whole process to be much simpler and easier. I would change maybe again the same thing that making it look prettier with side bars and other such nifty feature. That would require more intimate knowledge of dreamweaver which I sadly do not possess.

Argument Claim
My claim is that mmorpg's are much more helpful than detrimental to oneself. MMORPG's bring many like minded people together in an environment where they can live out fantasies, socialize, and interact with each other on a daily basis. Playing mmorpg's one can meet people from all over the world speaking many languages, and with translators understand people who sleapk other languages.

Mulitmodal Report
the mulitmodal report was a different report. Yet, at the same time it was very familiar. I have worked with all the aspects of the report before. Before though I had just worked on them separately. It was definitely something new and a little difficult to learn how to take what I already knew prior projects that only focused on a single media and mash them all together into one cohesive manner to complete the mulitmodal report.
I feel my audience is the typical audience of my peers. The purpose of the project was to inform people about mmorpg's through various forms of media combined into one solid report. I feel my design was simplistic. I am not graphic artist and lack talents to make anything much more complex than what I have already produced. Organization for the most part on my part seemed adequate. I realized in a portions throughout creating the report that I had things going in mismatched ways. Through some trial and error I was able to make it look and read organized.
I am oddly most proud of my system of links at the bottom of each page that allow one to link to other parts of the report. It gave me the least trouble and came out perfect right on the first try.
If I had more time I would have probably worked to make the general design a little better. It would take hours of trial and error for my novice graphic arts skills. The report in a graphcial art sense I would like to make better had I the skill.
Research for the report was fairly difficult. There weren't many articles on my topic that were of only a several page nature most of the articles were at least 10 pages. This led me to sifting through numerous articles trying to see if it had any relevance. Then sifting through the entire text for a line or two to use for an in text citation.

Research Topic
The current plan for my major is a major in chemistry. So I thought it would be appropriate to choose to research the vast amount of technologies in the chemistry field. There are all sorts of technologies in the chemistry field. the wide range of technologies is so vast I honestly can't comprehend right now many of the technologies out there since I just haven't been exposed to them.
Chemists use the basic chemistry equipment such as beaker, Erlynmeyer flask, Bunsen burners, test tubes, and of course the calculator. There is the more advanced stuff such as electrodes, vacuums, and spectrometers to name a paltry amount of technologies. Advancements of course always being made giving birth to even more new technologies in the varying fields of chemistry and many cool amazing things could come of such new technologies.

Reflection
Upon reflection of my hypertext essay I feel my audience was a bit narrow. I don't really think that many people would be interested in internet privacy issues sadly. Despite the huge effect a lack of internet privacy could have on the internet itself. Informing people of the issues of internet privacy are important. It never starts with major jumps in taking away privacy. Privacy is always taken by little itty bitty chunks being taken away over a period of time. My purpose was to obviously get the message out about steps taken by companies and the government, although not the government in this case, to take away our digital freedom.
The design of my hypertext essay was simple admittedly. The organization of my essay I feel was organized well topic-wise, but I think amongst my the text in the separate sections I had some over lapping information. By that I mean somethings were said in one topic them mentioned again in another. The presentation was clear. I tried to make it as simple and as effective at getting my point across as I could, as to not confuse persons traversing my essay.
I am proud of how well I was able to succinctly I was able to get my message across. I am usually loquacious. If I had more time I would have made the arrangement of text more appealing to the eye. Possibly add in a picture or maybe put in bulleted lists in stead of just standard in text lists with a lot of commas. If I had greater technical knowledge I would have designed a better layout.
The research for this topic was fairly easy. It article has been circulated around the internet already. There are also a plethora of websites about internet privacy and this particular issue with Facebook and Beacon. Many people have responded to Beacon, negatively I might add. the 50,000 plus signers of the moveon.org petition.

Various Technologies
Technology is the process by which humans modify nature to meet their needs and wants. This is according to the article "What is Technology". It affects us all in our everyday lives. Some technologies affect us more than others. The technologies that affect me the most are obviously computer technology. I use my computer and video game systems on a almost hourly basis. I also use soap, clothing, ceramic plates, and the all important door knob.
Technology has made my life easier. It has made all of our lives easier. Technology continues to improve and bring us new opportunities. These opportunities allow use to do more amazing things, learn more about the previously undiscovered, and go where no man has gone before.
It seems to me most people these days think of technology only has part of the manufacturing process or electronics. When its everything around us. It anything adn everything we humans have taken from taken from nature and modified or processed to get what we want out of it. for example wood carving is a technology.
In conclusion technology is w00t. It is everything around us amd affects all heavily on a day to day basis.

Cyberculture
Cyberculture has been large part of my life over the years. My first introduction to cyberculture was when I first got a computer when I was 8 years old. All I did was explore the internet and find ways to participate in it. I posted on forums and joined chat rooms initially. Later on I started playing lots of Real Time Strategy(RTS) games against people over the internet. Especially when I was playing RTS games I spent a lot of time out of my day playing them. It was fun playing against a variety of people.
Later, I started playing a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), Final Fantasy XI. I came to play it because I had been a long time fan of the Final Fantasy franchise. I Soon, got consumed in it. Playing it many hours out of the day. I had a lot of fun playing it and made many great friends. The game never got old because of the vast amount of content and the large amount of time it takes just to complete one task. I played Final Fantasy XI for about 4 years. I then switched to World of Warcraft because I had become upset with how people on Final Fantasy XI. World of Warcraft I didn't have very much fun playing. I played for only a month and then stopped. I did make a new group of friends, but it wasn't enough to keep playing. I then Switched to another mmorpg called Dungeons and Dragons Online. I enjoyed it a lot and made another online social circle. Yet, again I quit it. It lacked content and I had completed much of it fairly quickly. Now, I mainly stick to playing First Person Shooters(FPS) like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
Ever since then any participation in cyberculture has been instant messaging and occasional posts on a forum. Cyberculture has affected my life positively. It has given me a chance to befriend many people from around the world. The negative aspects are that heavy involvement in cyberculture took a lot of my time. I slept less and went out less.
Cyberculture has never really held much expectations for me except for it to be a way to sink excess time, enjoy myself, and meet interesting people. If that is what I expected I think it has met my expectations adequately.

Popular Culture
Popular Culture has helped shape my life. How could it not help shape anyone's life. It surrounds us day in day out. The television, radio, internet, and newspaper always informing us what is new, current, and popular. Certain values are placed on us via popular culture. It even influences some on who they hang out with and who they accept as friends. Popular culture I don't think has influenced my friend selection much. It might have played roles in meeting people. Getting to know people by sharing common interests which may be the current thing. The clothes I wear have been affected by popular culture. But, that mainly has to do with me just picking up what's in the store that I like. The contents of the store change from season to season based on what is popular at the time. The music I listen to affected by popular culture is mainly what I listen to on the radio when I am driving. What I listen to normally is usually what I can find just browsing online. Transportation is affected by popular culture. Cars have been the big popular things for years now and I drive one.
